The fifteenth-century tower that houses the Residence Menotre vibrates with all the history of the village of Rasiglia, near Foligno.
History that will surprise you, allowing you to discover a magical, relaxing location for a romantic holiday in Umbria.
Surrounded by hills and nature, Rasiglia lies on the Menotre river which for centuries has brought prosperity to the area’s dye-works, woollen mills and windmills, today fascinating industrial archaeology sites.
The village hosts our family’s small museum where you can discover the ancient art of hand-weaving. On 26 December and 6 January Rasiglia becomes a theatre with the evocative living nativity scene, while the second half of June is dedicated to a cultural event on the theme of local crafts, Penelope a Rasiglia.
Foligno is just 18 kilometres from our holiday home, a great base from which you can discover the most beautiful destinations in Umbria. Sport and nature lovers can explore the surrounding countryside on foot or by bicycle or try rafting or riverboarding on the river Nera, immersing themselves in the Sibillini National Park and the natural oasis of Colfiorito.
In the evening, returning to relax in the peace and quiet of the Residence Menotre, its romantic intimacy, summer coolness and winter cosiness, is a pleasure like no other.
Our residence is of historic interest and may be rented in full, with the advantage of three independent apartments (Micol, Ilaria and Corinna).
Residence Menotre can meet everyone needs:
– couples: for a romantic stay in a cozy studio aparment;
– families of 4/5 in a nice holiday apartment;
– groups of 10.
